coldwell res near pendle and colne

99% of our previous customers would use Coldwell again for their Group Accommodation and Activities. Here’s what they’re saying about us

A good location , close enough to towns and shops but also remote enough that we could be

together. It is well placed near to motorways , train stations and central for people travelling from

around the country. There are goos attractions close by. We visited Wycoller and Haworth as well as

the British India Museum in Nelson.

Skerton Youth Club- August 2015

The helpfulness of the staff was exceptional! Even getting us some garlic bread from the shop when

we ran out. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Skerton Youth Club- August 2015

The Centre staff were very welcoming and friendly. The activities were challenging, yet fun and

brought the team together. Activities promoted good and effective communication which was key to

our aim for the day; everyone felt they could take part. Both instructors worked well with both

groups , friendly and approachable and made the day very fun. Overall, enjoyable and successful.

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust-June 2015

The Coldwell staff were extremely helpful! Great communication before our stayand we were very

grateful that they allowed us to have a look around beforehand, On arrival the staff were very

friendly, informative and welcoming. The facilities were absolutely perfect. We were very impressed

with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was fantastic and a great size to cater for

such a large party as was the eating area. The extra facilities such as the pool table, table football

and games console/projector room were a fabulous bonus. Everything was very maintained and

extremely clean. We have already highly recommended Coldwell to many friends.

Hydburn Young Carers –April 2014

Had a good time. All the staff were lovely and would do anything to help. The Centre is ideal for our

needs ‘ giving young carers a break from their caring role’ We cannot thank everyone enough and if

we had more funding we would come more often. Thanks.

All the young carers enjoyed the home-cooked meals. The helpfulness of the staff was excellent,

whenever support was needed there was always a member of staff present in the building or a

Coldwell has a great character and charm, not only in its exterior and surrounding area but in the staff that are dedicated to its cause. We are always made to feel welcome and everything we request is met. Before you arrive you need to go on a diet as the food is traditional with superb helpings, and refreshments available. Accomodation is basic but more than adequate to serve our needs, plenty of space and areas to work in. For extreme value for money i could not expect anymore from the centres overall facilities and willingness to help. Already cant wait to return.

Coldwell Activity Centre is a great place for groups to visit and stay over, and we really enjoy coming and working there. The centre is self-contained, with lots of different environments to use as locations for filming. We recently made a short horror film with a group of young people from Liverpool – and the woods nearby were the perfect spot to film in. The combination of media suite, classroom, equipment and accommodation all in one place, make Coldwell a great choice for any groups looking for a fun, creative environment to learn new skills…Caroline Eccles – Huckleberry Films

Coldwell Activity Centre provided an excellent residential venue for our Summer Programme, with access to outdoor education, classrooms and film making. The young people can’t wait to return. They loved the open space, learning opportunities and friendly staff. We’ll certainly be using the Centre again as it proved to be an ideal place for informal learning and innovative youth work…
