Coldwell Activity Centre is a residential facility in the heart of the Lancashire landscape in a remarkably beautiful setting overlooking the reservoir. Although remote it is still only 10 minutes from the M65 making it a convenient and accessible destination. Coldwell has twelve bedrooms, three of which are en-suite, sleeping up to 27 people. Because of our size groups who come and stay with us have exclusive use of all the residential facilities, and receive a bespoke, personal service which is second to none.

The building itself has been converted from an 18th century inn, retaining many original features and set in its own grounds with woodland walks and plenty of wildlife.

We are fully disabled accessible with a wet room and lift to the first floor. Friendly staff, home cooked food and a full range of activities from mountain biking to team building make Coldwell the perfect place for groups of all ages and abilities. As well as welcoming youth groups and schools, Coldwell is also the perfect venue for family get-togethers, with a games room containing a full sized pool table, table football and piano as well as a comfortable lounge, everybody can feel at home.

Unlike many other venues, Coldwell can offer a self catering option for a reduced cost; our large kitchen boasts a huge oven, dishwasher, bain-marie and microwaves, with a dining facility seating up to 30 people.

We also have available for hire two training/conference rooms with smart board, high speed internet access and flip charts making it ideal for corporate events and team building weekends. There are also two media rooms for both film making and animation as well as IT training.
